We take your privacy very seriously and ask you to read this privacy policy carefully, as it contains important information about what personal data we collect about you, what we do with your data and to whom your data will be disclosed.
This Data Protection Policy applies to all companies within the Lalique Group, i.e. Lalique Group SA and all its subsidiaries and their employees. An overview of the Lalique Group can be found at http://lalique-group.com/corporate-governance.
The privacy policy extends to the processing of personal data when you either visit one of our official websites or enter into and maintain a business relationship with us. This includes data processing by Lalique Group companies in the following situations:
Our privacy policy does not apply to your activities on third-party websites, such as social networks, or other providers that you access via links on our websites. Please familiarise yourself with the privacy notices of these providers on their websites.
We reserve the right to change or update this privacy policy from time to time. You should read this privacy policy before providing us with your personal data, and check occasionally for the latest version to ensure you are aware of any updates to our access to this website or the purchase of our products.
The data controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this privacy policy is generally Lalique Group, Grubenstrasse 18, CH-8045 Zurich. However, if you establish and maintain a business relationship with a Lalique Group company other than Lalique Group SA, the respective Lalique Group company that has referred you to this privacy policy will be the data controller responsible for this data processing.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation («GDPR») in the European Union, Lalique Group SA has appointed the following legal entity as its statutory representative: Lalique SA, with its registered office at 30, rue de Prony, 75017 Paris, France.
You can contact our data protection organisation as follows:
personaldata@lalique-group.com.
We process personal data about you for purposes that correspond to the activities and situations listed above (scope). This includes, in particular, one or more of the following purposes:
Visiting our websites or using our apps
When you visit one of our official websites or use our apps, we automatically collect and process certain user-related data, such as information about your browser, operating system or IP address, the websites you visit, the duration of your stay on the pages, the page from which you arrived at our website, and the links on our websites or in our apps that you have selected. We process the aforementioned data to ensure a stable connection and user-friendly use of our websites and apps, to guarantee network and information security, and to analyse system security and stability.
Using the contact forms
When you use the contact forms provided on our websites to make an enquiry or get in touch with us for other reasons, we will process the data you provide (such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, etc.) in order to process your enquiry and, if necessary, to contact you.
Building and maintaining business relationships; shopping in boutiques and online
We collect and process personal data of customers, partners and others in preparation for or execution of a contract if you purchase or wish to purchase products or services from us. Specifically, we collect general personal data (e.g. name, contact or delivery address and supplementary registration data), your purchase data (e.g. products in your online shopping basket, prices of selected products or services, details of your enquiries in boutiques or preferred payment or delivery method). You provide most of this personal data yourself (e.g. during registration or when making a purchase). We automatically collect further data (e.g. information about your preferred products) based on your use of our online shops and your order and purchase decisions.
We use this personal data as part of the registration process to confirm your account opening, to identify you and manage your account (e.g. account or customer number), to process your orders, to send you order confirmations, to deliver an ordered product or service, to provide our customer service, to send payment notifications, satisfaction surveys and other relevant information for the establishment, processing and maintenance of our business relationship with you. In addition, we use this personal data for marketing purposes as described below.
Marketing, personalised offers, email communication, newsletters
As part of the existing business relationship between us, we process your personal data to inform you about our products and services. To personalise your shopping experience, to align our marketing activities with the discernible interests of our customers, and (based on your allocation to relevant customer segments) to display or send you personalised offers and promotions, we analyse your use of our online shop and combine this data with the personal data provided or recorded when shopping in our boutiques, as well as with app usage data.
We will contact you by email using your name, address, email address, interests, and past purchase activity, where legally permissible or if you have given your consent. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time.
E-mail marketing campaigns published by us may contain tracking properties within the e-mail itself. Subscription-related activities are tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activities may include: opening of e-mails, forwarding of e-mails, clicking on links within the e-mail, times, dates, interests, and frequency of activities (this list is not exhaustive).
Customer events, promotions, and competitions
If you register to participate in customer events, promotions, or prize draws (e.g., via our microsites or campaign landing pages), we or our external service providers will record your registration details (especially name and contact details) and your feedback on events or samples received. We supplement these data with information on the respective event, promotion, or prize draw and combine it with information on your interaction with microsites where we provide information on the respective event, promotion, or prize draw.
We process this personal data to confirm your registration, organise the event, promotion or competition, manage your participation and notify the winners. Furthermore, we use the personal data to conduct co-creation activities, improve existing products and develop new ones, introduce you to the brand and promote new products and services, tailor our marketing activities to the discernible interests of our customers (personalised advertising), provide you with personalised offers and advertising, and measure the effectiveness of these marketing activities. Please note that collecting contact information for direct marketing purposes is a key purpose of our promotions and competitions. By registering for a promotion or competition, you agree to receive marketing emails from the Lalique Group in the future. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time. For more information, please refer to the relevant microsites and direct marketing emails.
Social networks and embedded content
On our company pages on social media (currently Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, X, TikTok and LinkedIn), you will find posts on current developments from Lalique as well as on our range of services. The social media providers collect and analyse usage data such as visitor numbers and demographic information about visitors to our social media pages. Based on this data, we receive analyses from the social media providers. These contain exclusively aggregated data or data that has been otherwise sufficiently anonymised. Only the respective provider can identify you based on the usage data collected. Please therefore take note of the respective provider's data protection information.
We embed content on the websites using resources from external servers (videos from YouTube and maps from Google Maps). When these resources are accessed, the provider of the external servers receives your IP address and/or certain traffic data which are necessary for the use of the external service providers' servers.
Web analytics and advertising technologies
We use web analytics services (currently Google Analytics) to evaluate website usage and obtain information for their optimisation. The web analytics services we use collect and store user data using cookies. The requesting IP addresses are truncated before being transmitted to a server outside of Switzerland/EU/EEA.
We use advertising technologies from Google (Google Ads) and other providers on our websites. This allows us to specifically target users of our websites with relevant advertising when they visit other websites (retargeting) and to analyse the success of such advertising campaigns (e.g., reach or impression measurement). The display of advertising on the websites you visit is based on an analysis of your previous use of our websites. For this purpose, the providers of the advertising technologies use cookies when you visit our websites.
When you interact with the cookie preference tool implemented on the websites, you will learn more about our use of these services and technologies, and your choices in this regard.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, tags, and similar technologies on the websites. Cookies are text files that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use an app. Some of the cookies we use are necessary to provide certain functions or content on the websites (e.g., to make it easier for you to use the online shop or to enable the integration of video or map functions). In addition, we use cookies to enable the use of web analytics and advertising technologies.
When you interact with websites using our cookie preferences tool, you will learn more about the cookies used on the website you are visiting, the purposes for which we use them, and your choices.
If you have given us your consent for the processing of your personal data, this will serve as the legal basis for the processing. You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time by contacting us as described above.
When processing personal data for the conclusion or execution of a contract with you, this forms the legal basis for the processing.
To the extent that the processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of our legal obligations (e.g. for data retention), we are permitted to do so under applicable law, and this forms the legal basis for the processing.
Furthermore, we process personal data to pursue our legitimate interests and the legitimate interests of third parties. Legitimate interests include maintaining the functionality of our IT systems, as well as personalising your shopping experience, improving existing products and developing new ones, analysing your usage and optimising our websites and apps, marketing our own and third-party products and services (including personalised advertising and offers, and the organisation of promotions and prize draws as described above), as well as legally required documentation of business contacts.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, in connection with investigations into the prevention of unlawful acts, we may disclose information about you to other parties, other companies within our group, our representatives, partners and service providers, as well as law enforcement agencies.
Our websites may also contain third-party offers. If you click on such offers, we will transmit data to the respective provider to the extent necessary (e.g. the information that you found this offer with us, and possibly further information that you have already provided on our website).
As a general rule, we do not transfer your data to third parties outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland.
However, due to Lalique's international activities and to optimise the quality of service, the above information is likely to involve the transfer of personal data outside of your country and/or to countries that are not members of the European Economic Area, whose data protection laws may differ from those of the European Union and Switzerland.
In particular, your data may be transferred to and processed by companies of the Lalique Group based in the following countries: Switzerland, France, Germany, Great Britain, USA, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. Please note that only selected employees of the Lalique Group companies who have received appropriate training will have access to personal customer data. Furthermore, we may use service providers worldwide and process personal data worldwide.
In the event of personal data being transferred to countries outside the EEA whose data protection laws differ from those of the EU and Switzerland, Lalique will apply strict and appropriate physical, organisational and technical measures/procedures to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data in accordance with applicable laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation. This will ensure that the specific legal conditions pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. of the GDPR (or comparable provisions of other applicable data protection laws, if any) are met. In such a case, Lalique will, in particular, implement security precautions (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses with prior risk assessment).
Lalique also transmits personal data to countries with a lower level of data protection if the data subject has expressly consented to such transfer and/or if the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject(s), for the performance of a contract in the interest of the data subject(s), or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Our employees are bound by confidentiality and trained in the protection of personal data. We will take all reasonable steps to comply with statutory provisions and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures as required to protect your personal data.
Although we will make all reasonable efforts to protect your personal data, you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data which is transmitted from or to you via the internet. If you have any particular concerns about your data, please contact us (see Section 3 Data Controller and Representative).
We only process your personal data for as long as it is necessary:
We may retain your personal data beyond this period if it is necessary to comply with legal obligations or if we require the personal data to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. In this case, we will retain your personal data until the end of the relevant retention period or until the claims in question have been settled or have expired.
As a data subject, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability (subject to conditions and exceptions).
If you have consented to the processing of your personal data by us, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The lawfulness of the processing of your personal data until the withdrawal shall not be affected by the withdrawal. Likewise, the further processing of this data on other legal grounds, such as the fulfilment of statutory obligations (see section «Legal grounds for the processing of personal data»), shall remain unaffected.
Right to object: You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data (subject to provisions and exceptions). If you object, we will continue to process your personal data if we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates legal regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
